July 14 & 15
Class Description

What role does jewelry play in your life? Come explore the many powers of jewelry in this two-day design workshop. We’ll begin by sharing examples of significant and storied jewelry, and move into discussion and design.

Through writing, sketching, and model making, we’ll work on designs for new projects and exchange feedback along the way. This is an open-ended design process, which could include reworking old pieces, reimagining of lost treasures, or something entirely new. Each student will leave with a new body of shared jewelry knowledge, models, and ideas for their next projects.

Please come prepared with stories about jewelry, examples of existing pieces, images, thick paper, scrap metal, and odds and ends for model making. Bring a sketchbook and a willingness to share.
