Timothy Veske-McMahon is a Brooklyn-based conceptual jewelry artist originally from Schenectady, NY. He unknowingly stumbled into a much broader understanding of jewelry via an elective course, while a studying at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute. He went on to earn his BFA at Pratt Institute, later returning as technician and faculty member within Fine Arts Jewelry. Since then, Timothy has earned his MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook Academy of Art and taken opportunities to travel abroad, most recently spending three months as an artist-in-residence at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn.
Now Timothy resumes his practice in Brooklyn, which he extends beyond the studio through curatorial and critical endeavors.
Timothy’s work is exhibited internationally, and included in various publications.
