  • 1 gram of 24k gold – in the form or sheet or grain
  • Sterling silver sheet – over 1mm thick
  • 2 sheets of copper – 1mm or 0.8mm thick (about 7 x 5 cm)
  • Nail scissors
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Stainless steel mesh firing rack (example here)
  • Soldering tweezers (clean, with a fine tip) to move the foil
  • Disposable latex/nitrile gloves
  • Fine brass brush
  • Cheap burnisher
  • Clean cotton rag
  • Charcoal block (can be inexpensive type)
  • Clean white paper – several sheets
  • Safety glasses
