Brice Garrett

Brice Garrett uses the position of adornment as a source to think through ideas of preciousness, value, labor, and memory. Working across disciplines, he utilizes a variety of materials and methods that culminate into wearables, sculptures, installations, and participatory projects. Brice received his MFA from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden and a BA from San Diego State University. He has been the recipient of awards and residencies from the Museum of Arts and Design, Queens Council on the Arts, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, The Center for Craft, Manhattan Graphic Center, and most recently Tides Institute & Museum of Art. His work has been exhibited across Europe and the United States and can be seen in publications such as Metalsmith magazine, Art Jewelry Today, and The Body Adorned.
