Caroline Gore
Caroline Gore’s studio practice is deeply rooted in jewelry and metalsmithing processes, everything flows through this intensely technical knowledge base rooted in traditional analog processes. Jewelry is primarily made with 18k gold, platinum, natural gemstones and other material investigations. Her studio is located in northeast Philadelphia at the Crane Arts Building.
Over decades of making the outcomes of Caroline’s work have varied in media, scale and implementation ranging from jewelry to sculptural installations, photography and large-scale drawing.
Caroline’s teaching career has spanned 20+ years at numerous collegiate institutions in the United States and abroad. In 2014, she moved to Philadelphia to join the faculty at The University of the Arts as an Associate Professor of Craft & Material Studies and taught alongside Rod McCormick until the conclusion of the Jewelry/Metals program in 2021. She has since turned her focus to work in her studio.
She is represented by Gallery Loupe in Montclair, New Jersey and sells a range of work in gold through various national stockists. Work can be found in the permanent collections of The Museum of Fine Arts – Houston, The Museum of Fine Arts – Boston, Racine Art Museum, and in numerous private holdings.
