March 29 - May 17
Class Description

This class takes an experimental approach to working with enamel on copper.  Besides the basics of applying enamel to metal and proper firing, we will explore the use of liquid enamels, glass beads, underglazes and lusters to create unique effects and surfaces.  Other techniques include sgraffito, stoning, rubber stamps and stencils.   Students will create several sample pieces and choose one to develop into a finished piece of jewelry.

Students should have some basic metal fabrication skills, like familiarity with sawing and filing, in preparation of this course.

Class size 4 – 10 students. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required. Masks are required to be worn for all studio coursework.

Taught by Rebekah Laskin
All students receive a 50% discount on hourly and daily bench rentals throughout the duration of their course.
